Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

I made an import from my camera (photos and videos), and after imported them, the "last sync" item, shows me the photos and videos i've recently imported. But if I click any Event in the "Events" tree (left side), only shows my photos...

How to see my videos imported that day also?

using shotwell 0.12.3 (default in ubuntu 12.10)

Last import preview:

Shotwell last import preview

Event preview:

Shotwell event preview

Joe, are these videos AVHCD (.MTS) files? If yes, this is a known bug and so would be off-topic here. –  Tom Brossman Dec 17 '12 at 8:06
no, simple mp4 files (the camera is a Samsung nx1000), codec h264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1) –  Joe Cabezas Dec 17 '12 at 21:46
Are the timestamps in the video files correct? If not, that would explain why they're not showing up in events. –  MrEricSir Dec 18 '12 at 2:08
I recently reinstalled ubuntu doing a fresh install, and just put the shotwell folder under ~/Images folder, and now videos are shown in events "node" (of the events tree), in the same date but in year 1946, :S, what to do now? –  Joe Cabezas Dec 19 '12 at 3:21
Sounds like either the video files have incorrect timestamps, or Shotwell was unable to read them. You can adjust the timestamps manually if you like. To put the videos in the correct event, you can drag the videos to the desired event in the sidebar. –  MrEricSir Dec 19 '12 at 20:24
