I just inherited a Lenovo ThinkPad and the first time I turned it on and connected to my wireless internet at my home it worked great but then I left and put it on in sleep mode and since I came back it will not connect again. It keeps saying the cause of the problem is that the driver disconnected while associating. How do I fix that?

What happens when you reboot the computer? – Martin Owens -doctormo- Jan 31 '11 at 4:18
Similar problem on mine - the ipw2200 driver doesn't survive a suspend / resume. It comes back, but can't connect to an Access Point. I'm sure that this happens on other cards too. The standard answer is to set the driver to unload on suspend (e.g. SUSPEND_MODULES=ipw2200). – Mark Williams Oct 13 '11 at 13:29
