I've been having an issue with clicking and dragging icons and windows on my desktop. What ends up happening is I will click and hold on an icon and begin to drag it. The icon does not move. I let go of the mouse button, click on it again, and it immediately opens up (almost like it was double clicked).
Application windows have a similar issue, I will grab the title bar and grab it (to move it around the screen or to another monitor) and it won't move. I click the title bar again and the window will maximize itself (again, much like it was double clicked).
I am running Ubuntu 12.10, dual monitors. I was running 12.04 up until yesterday when I upgraded (I was experiencing this on 12.04 also, which is why I upgraded).
Any ideas what it could be? I tried running xev and testing mouse events and it seems to register clicks and movements just fine. I have no idea where to start looking next.
