So I have this problem (I believe this is when it started) ever since I upgraded to 12.10 my computer has been booting a-lot slower than normal. (This is also when i upgraded my gnome to the next version) My computer is still pretty fast at getting to the login screen, but once I type in my password it takes like 15-25sec to open the desktop environment, when a couple while ago it only took 5-7. I was just wondering if there is anything i can do to fix this (I have already tried a complete re-install) It's not like i have a major amount of programs installed on it either (It seems however that when I installed gnome it came with a bunch of random apps) All I have on booting on startup is google-chrome (it does that by default and I saw no harm in stopping it) anyway if any of you have any suggestion on how to speed up my desktop boot time please tell.
