I should program my microcontroller and I used dapa for it. But when I used uisp to connect to the microcontroller, I got this error:

My command:

    uisp -dprog=dapa -dlpt=0x378

And output:

    ioperm: Success
Failed to get direct I/O port access.

What does it say and what does it mean?

I suppose you're connecting via serial port. Please post the output of groups and ls -l /dev/ttyS0, so we can check your permission on serial ports. –  Eric Carvalho Dec 15 '12 at 15:05

No, I did not use serial port; I used the printer port (The big port)! –  Mohammad Etemaddar Dec 16 '12 at 8:15

You have to be in the "lp" group to access parallel ports. Post the output of groups and ls -l /dev/lp* /dev/parport*. –  Eric Carvalho Dec 17 '12 at 14:00
