Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.

There seem to be issues with some FTDI controllers attached to a high-speed (USB 2.0) hub. For testing purposes I'd like to disable high-speed support temporarily.

On older versions one could simply remove the ehci module. But this is integrated into kernel nowadays. Sadly my BIOS doesn't have an option for this (as some do).

Any Ideas?
