Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have Windows Vista and I installed Ubuntu 12.04 along with it.

I have three partitions on my hard-drive on Windows, but when I open the laptop through Ubuntu it only reads the first and second partition. Is there a way I can get it to read the third one as well so that I'm able to access it through Ubuntu and not just Windows?

Can you please add the output of sudo fdisk -l and mount to your question? That will help us sort out the type of partitions you have and if they are mounted or not already. –  Bruno Pereira Dec 11 '12 at 9:50

If you do "mount | grep /dev/" it helps to get rid of some of the chaff. –  fabricator4 Dec 11 '12 at 12:04
