I was connecting my Windows Live account just fine to Empathy until today. I've been away for a few days so the problem may have started a few days back. It's coming up wanting me to Grant Access. I've gotten past the login screen and hit the "yes" button to grant access but the Online Accounts keeps popping up the "Grant Access" button.

I can't comment on your current dillema. But I do know that Windows Live is going the way of the dodo and being replaced by skype. – Brandon Bertelsen Dec 10 '12 at 21:45
Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't heard that and am looking forward to it. I hardly use Windows Live except to log into my TechNet account. I have very few contacts on either it or Skype. Glad to see them combine. – mwclark4453 Dec 11 '12 at 13:07
I'm pretty sure if you just install skype, theres a way to merge your windows live contacts as well, perhaps on skype's site. I'm not quite sure. – Brandon Bertelsen Dec 11 '12 at 13:10
