While using Chromium, if I minimize the browser to the unity bar, it will glitch the minimize animation (make it very slow/stop) and the current window arrow will start flashing rapidly and disappearing. The only solution I found to this glitchy part is to alt-tab back into chromium, open a random window (e.g. Nautilus) and then minimize chromium, as this for some reason resolves the issue. While this wouldn't bother me, this will also slow down the unity launcher making it unusable and running the processor harder.
If you find me hard to understand, I have filmed the error on my potato of a phone. The quality is bad but it is sufficient enough for those with good eyes to see the glitch, and be warned there is a loud sound a second away from the end.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I have:
OS: Ubuntu 12.10. Browser: Chromium 22.0.1229.94. Graphics:Intel Mobile Chipset 4 Series (running on the universal driver). Processor: Celeron(R) Dual-Core CPU T3300 @ 2.00GHz × 2. RAM: 2.9GB
IMPORTANT EDIT I have swapped to Elementary OS Luna, which is based on Ubuntu 12.04. While any updates may be partially irellivant I still seem to get a similar issue. I swapped because the preformance coming from Unity and Compiz was awful, and found elementary (despite beta) to be extremely fast and beautiful.
