Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I followed this tutorial for installing it: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheMySQLPHP

Apache is working fine but somehow mysql is missing something...

When I do:

sudo service mysql status

It returns:

mysql start/post-start, process 18049
post-start process 18050

But when i do:

sudo netstat -tap | grep mysql

It returns nothing... so mysql is not available :/

Thanks in advance.
