I had installed experimental ver.310 nvidia driver. Now if I want to replace it back with nvidia current 295.##(not sure) I get error saying that the driver is 295.. but kernel 310..

The process was uninstall the 310 and installing nvidia-current.

How to get rid of the experimental driver and its kernel to be able to install stable version of the driver?

(should I do this? -> sudo apt-get purge nvidia* sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg ) -- are there any "risks" doing this?
