I'm running an Alienware MX14R2 and I have no network out of the box on 10.04, either wired or not.

I found the following link which I think has drivers but it says that they are only 11.10 or 12.04? http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/catalog/search/?csrfmiddlewaretoken=24ed55469db42348a03fe30c3551f99c&query=2230

I have also tried my wired controller Atheros AR8151 and it doesn't connect either.

Any chance I could get help with with locating a driver for either of these and a guide for installing it?

Installing either without an internet connection will be quite difficult. Updating to 12.04 LTS or even 12.10 will be far easier and your wireless will work immediately. Your ethernet will work in 12.10. –  chili555 Dec 4 '12 at 1:12

The reason I'm stuck with 10.04 is because I'm trying to build Android code. I'm trying to figure out right now which one will be easier: getting Android to build on 12.04 or getting internet to work on 10.04. –  advocate Dec 4 '12 at 1:14
