I have ubuntu 12.04 LTS only in my laptop (single boot). When I switched on, it can't boot and gives me the following errors in a black screen
error: hd0 out of disk error: no suitable mode found error: no video mode activate
Yesterday, there was a problem with Software Center and I made the following commands in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install -f sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
And found the following results (at the bottom of the results):
Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/ubuntu-sso-client-gtk_3.0.2-0ubuntu3_all-deb /var/cache/apt/archives/python-ubuntu-sso-client_3.0.2-0ubuntu3_all.deb E: sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Since I couldn't solve these problem. I switched off the laptop and went to a meeting. So, is this mean my laptop is broken? Is there a means to re-install the laptop?
