Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm trying to install graphics packages e.g. GIMP etc, but repeatedly get the message that it "requires installation of untrusted packages" - despite them being through the Ubuntu Software Centre. I've tried all options but the packages don't install.

Any suggestions

the easiest workaround would be using apt-get install from command line, instead. – mondjunge Nov 29 '12 at 10:21
