why I can not find aufs support in kernel3.6.6

I lately followed the steps in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=688872 to make a live cd of my current ubuntu 10.04. It tells me that the kernel I use should support aufs. But I can not find the aufs support at all in kernel 3.6.6 using command 'sudo make menuconfig'.At last, when I test the generated iso, a mount error "no aufs device" comes out!Help!!!!
