What's wrong? Are you not seeing the Grub screen (the one where you select the OS) at all? (That is, it boots into Ubuntu without giving you a choice?) Try holding down Shift during boot-up. Or is it failing whenever you choose Windows? That would be trickier to deal with. – JamesTheAwesomeDude Nov 27 '12 at 22:20
Thanks for the quick reply. Initially I wasn't getting a Grub screen, now I can get it but only shows Ubuntu and Ubuntu recovery. – Ben Harvey Nov 27 '12 at 22:21
Uh-oh. This is bad(ish). I'd recommend reinstalling the Grub bootloader; perhaps that will fix it. (be sure to install it to /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1.) – JamesTheAwesomeDude Nov 27 '12 at 22:24
These links might be helpful. The Grub bootloader: ...and some useful info: ...anyway, I hope that helps! – JamesTheAwesomeDude Nov 27 '12 at 22:26
We don't really support LinuxMint here (FAQ), but try running sudo update-grub from a terminal anyway. – mikewhatever Nov 27 '12 at 22:27
