Every time I move my mouse or do anything with it blinks.

I have the same problem in every Linux distro... I think it's an xorg problem or a driver problem. The only time it does not do this is when I start with the low-resolution error using a xorg.conf from another graphic chipset, and I think that this isn't the best choice.

I have an ATI Rage 128.

Wow, ATI Rage 128 were made like in year 1998 :) I mean, you're unlikely to find many people still using those... – Sergey Nov 20 '12 at 22:41
i know !!! e.e but it does works (hardly but works) in fact that is the only thing that goes wrong in my computer xDD – Jeffrey Nov 20 '12 at 23:40
