I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on a new Acer RL70 which previously had Limpus Linux.

Problem is I have no sound through HDMI connection to monitor but I have sound to headphones, whereas before all was fine. What can I do to remedy this?

if you are using headphoes its normal sounds goes to headphones. –  user84277 Nov 19 '12 at 21:08
