I tried downloading guvcview from the PPA on the guvcview website for my Ubuntu 12.10 installation. But I had a black screen problem when I opened the program. This time, I installed all the versions of guvcview one by one, using the .debs on the project's sourceforge website, but the problem still persisted. So I went back to the latest version via PPA, and I set the resolution to 320x240 resolution, and it worked! But I didn't like the quality of the video. My question is, is it possible for me to get the 640x480 resolution working like it did in Ubuntu 11.10? Because there seems to be no fix to this problem on Ubuntu 12.10.
