I have the .iso file, but it won't install because of an error. Though I do have Internet access from running the operating system directly off the drive, so I am contemplating how to get the operating system from Ubuntu and install it directly off there.

It is not clear what the problem is. what is the error? How are you trying to install? Using a liveUSB? or a liveDVD? Please supply more details to get help. – To Do Nov 18 '12 at 18:05
