I've updated Java on my Backtrack, like this: http://ironwiresecurity.blogspot.ch/2012/02/installing-java-se-7-on-backtrack-5.html to version 184.108.40.206. This hasn't been a problem for any java application but burp version 1.5. When I start burp, I get the following error:
root@bt:~# java -jar .tools/burpsuite_pro_v1.5.jar java.lang.RuntimeException: cannot load system cursor: CopyDrop.32x32 at sun.awt.X11.XToolkit.lazilyLoadDesktopProperty(Unknown Source) at java.awt.Toolkit.getDesktopProperty(Unknown Source) at java.awt.dnd.DragSource.load(Unknown Source) at java.awt.dnd.DragSource.<clinit>(Unknown Source) at burp.dz.b(Unknown Source) at burp.hsc.i(Unknown Source) at burp.StartBurp.main(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.awt.AWTException: Exception: class java.security.PrivilegedActionException null occurred while loading: /opt/java/jre1.7.0_07/lib/images/cursors/cursors.properties at java.awt.Cursor.loadSystemCustomCursorProperties(Unknown Source) at java.awt.Cursor.getSystemCustomCursor(Unknown Source)
And if I check for the file lib/images/... it seems like it doesn't exist.
I know that BT isn't Ubuntu, and hence I understand if you vote to close. I do post it here, because BT is very similar to Ubuntu and it seems to be not a BT specific problem. If you could help me to solve this issue, I'd be very thankful!
