When I restart my computer, I see the Ubuntu welcome screen. When I click 'install Ubuntu', it doesn't show me any disks from my windows system to install Ubuntu on.

Instead of choosing 'Install Ubuntu' from the boot screen, choose the 'live CD' option. This will allow you to run tests to troubleshoot. Once you boot to live CD, open the terminal and run sudo fdisk -l and post your output. – Mowgli Nov 16 '12 at 8:28
Could you show more information about your computer? such as: Is it a laptop or desktop? What's your motherboard?.. – Teifi Nov 16 '12 at 8:52
