I have an optimus system with intel hd/nvidia using bumblebee.
The intel hd is properly detected and running the unity check shows it is unity 3d capable (i.e. all criteria: yes).
However, logging in with unity 3d selected leads directly to a hard freeze.

xorg.0.log does not show any abnormalities. How do i get unity 3d stable?

searching the forums i have not found any information related to my case.

Various problems can cause a freeze. Have a look at .xsession-errors file . cat .xsession-errors , also check your HDD with Disk Utility. – NikTh Nov 14 '12 at 1:50
