I did a fresh installation of Ubuntu 12.10 in a Dell Inspiron N4050 laptop and I noted that fan speed are not normal, and when I start to use Firefox the laptop starts to heat up and fans make a lot of noise.

I also notice that internet (WiFi) with Ubuntu is slower than other OS or distros.

So, how can it be fixed?.
