i have a problem with xampp on ubuntu 12.10 first i tried to install apache 2 and mysql and phpmyadmin and.... from synaptics and it create a www folder in /var/www but when i removed it and i installed xampp and i started it when i entered localhost it showed me 404 not found The requested URL / was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

i tried to change the port in httpd.conf in xampp but when i tried to open it it showed me another error : unable to connect

i'm wonder what else should i do ?? can some one help me with it ?

its not helpfull for me !

look i fixed my problem with installing apache and php5 and mysql server and phpmyadmin manualy but if some body knows when i want to work with xampp and do not working with this tools what should i do !? (changing local server) – mohamad Nov 14 '12 at 9:42
