I am using the ubuntu 12.04 .. I have decided not upgrade to ubuntu 12.10, I am doing the respin using the remastersys .. Having the unity.. but to the low grade machines (I think the lxde is best.) But it is not an lts support. I dont need an XFCE.
Then i went through the mint 13 mate. which may fit exactly.. But i need to do it with ubuntu 12.04 as the parent os .. i dont need to maintain two different os .. which gives two different updates..
Is it better idea to go with the mate, or gnome classic..
Ram is under 1gb
I need better suggestion with the test results. I am doing the respin. But looking to create the new operating system completely like the mint has achieved so far. and how to create the launchpad, ppa updates by my self.. rather then updates flow from the ubuntu repository.
