I've got a PC with a crashed HD, which I am replacing with a new HD. I want to create a bootable flash drive ubuntu to install ubuntu on that PC. Obviously I can't do that on the dead PC and the only working machine I have is a Mac. So I need if possible to create a bootable flash drive using a Mac but not to boot that Mac, I want it to boot the PC.
I have searched around and found lots of advice on creating a bootable flash drive on a Mac and then booting the Mac from it, but that is not what I'm trying to do. (Search algorithms seem to suffer from a bad case of not reading the question with this search!) I wonder if what I am trying to do is possible.
