I tried to install python-psycopg2 But the installation fails and I get this error:

I'm puzzled. I'm not sure why I'm getting a mongodb error while installing this. Any suggestions to fix this?

Are you sure the mongodb-10gen installation wasn't left previously incomplete? Have you tried uninstalling mongodb-10gen, installing python-psycopg2 and then reinstalling mongodb-10gen? I am not aware of any dependency between the two packages. –  Pedro Romano Nov 10 '12 at 17:58

If you run: apt-get -f install does it try to install MongoDB too? You might have an incomplete install of the package, so the issue isn't with psycopg2 at all. –  Craig Ringer Nov 11 '12 at 3:13
