So I recently installed again and I am finding small things to be super frustrating. For example getting my stupid Compro K100 USB MCE Remote to work.

When I installed Ubuntu 12.04 TLS it was working 100% and just out of the blue it stopped working and I have no clue as to why.

I run lsusb and I can see it's still showing:

Bus 002 Device 009: ID 185b:3082 Compro K100 Infrared Receiver v2

Normally there is a light on the received which will flash to acknowledge that a key has been pressed when you press it on the remote, but now it just doesn't.

I would appreaciate anyone who can help me through a process of illimiation to find the issue.

EDIT

So it's working again. This may be embarrasing, no it will be. So my screen's resolution at full resolution cut's a portion of the screen to the left off. I may have been selecting safe more. I can't be to sure, sorry.
