Ubuntu wont boot up after I installed Windows 8.

I get this error:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
To fix the problem:

 1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
 2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
 3. Click "Repair your computer."

If you don't have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Okay, to answer this first it looks like you installed Ubuntu using Wubi in a older version of Windows... This is a problem, because when you install Ubuntu with Wubi, Ubuntu runs inside Windows. So after you installed Windows 8, your Ubuntu install deleted too, even though it's still in your Boot Options...

You must reinstall Ubuntu if you want to have it, but don't install it with Wubi, install it the normal way. Like in the following Answered Question
