Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I an using netapp as a network file server (nfs). My operating system is Ubuntu 12.10.

I'm having some issues while auto-mounting from the netapp.. the netapp is working on nfs3 and trying to mount as nfs on my Ubuntu client.. The Client is mounted as nfs4 and the attributes are been shown as nobody/nogroup. I think its because the client force nfs4 over nfs3.

Also, when I boot sometimes the auto-mount needs to be restarted.

What can I do?

Thanks.
