I desperately try to boot Ubuntu from USB to resize my partitions on the HDD. But with Ubuntu 12.10 it does not work anymore.

No matter what stick I use, I get a grub error message: "no such partition".

Please help me!

could you please add more information about your setup? where is ubuntu installed, which partitions are you trying to resize and how? – Sam Nov 8 '12 at 5:38
