I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I couldn't update software sources. "Sources.list", "Sources.list.distUpgrade" and "Sources.list.save" files appear updated. However, I don't see in Software Sources interface. When I want to add in Software Sources interface, I couldn't add.

When I used sudo apt-get update, console output:

Update software sources? What do you mean? –  jokerdino Nov 5 '12 at 3:04

@jokerdino I think the OP means setting the sources to go to a different mirror for updates (the interface to do this has moved around). –  belacqua Nov 5 '12 at 3:28

@belacqua the apt output looks alright to me. I am thinking either he wants to add a new PPA or something. It isn't very clear to me but I am not sure if we should close it as NARQ yet. –  jokerdino Nov 5 '12 at 3:33

@jokerdino Yes, I agree. It seems like we jump the gun on closing day-old question and so on before they have a chance to edit or respond. –  belacqua Nov 5 '12 at 3:33
