I have installed today an older (10.04) version of Ubuntu today as dual-boot on my machine. I had Internet working (a wired connection which uses PPPoE), and I checked for updates, knowing that Ubuntu 12 is out. After the upgrades were completed and Ubuntu 12.04 was installed, (after reboot) the Internet connection stopped working; it "tries" to connect for about a minute, and then it "gives up".
Any idea on why this is happening? (If it is the case, what other details must I give to make the question more relevant?)
