I want to install ubuntu 12.10 after windows 8 but ubuntu I installer doesn't even see windows partitions. What should I do?

Disk tool in ubuntu correctly recognizes partions.

Do you mean when you are asked to set partitions while installing there are no disks? – Dr_Bunsen Oct 31 '12 at 11:49

Can you check if the partitions on your windows system are marked as dynamic or basic? You can do that by checking it with the disk manager in Windows. – Bruno Pereira Oct 31 '12 at 11:55
