I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my EC2 Micro instance and then installed Apache2 and PHP5. I am now having trouble starting Apache2, I've checked the error logs and here's the result:

[Sun Oct 28 11:44:09 2012] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Sun Oct 28 11:44:10 2012] [notice] Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4 with Suhosin-Patch configured -- resuming normal operations

I've noticed that someone else has already asked this question 2 months ago but it remained unanswered or no clear answer was provided.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked for any cron jobs that might be set to restart Apache? –  KayakJim Nov 1 '12 at 18:19
