I'm unable to install or uninstall any software using Ubuntu Software Center. I've installed Wine. When I launch Terminal client, it vanishes after a while.
Below is the error:
There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/aptdaemon/worker.py", line 779, in simulate return self._simulate_helper(trans, status_path) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/aptdaemon/worker.py", line 843, in _simulate_helper self._cache.open() File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/apt/cache.py", line 126, in open self._cache = apt_pkg.Cache(progress) SystemError: E:Could not open file /tmp/future-status-sLsJNA - open (2: No such file or directory), E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
Any help/pointers please?
