I am using Ubuntu 12.04, and I have been having problems getting my BitTorrent proxy to work. I tried Vuze, and it wouldn't connect/connection dropped to frequently to be reliable. I tried Deluge, and when I go to checkmytorrentip.com, it just gives me my IP address. To get around this, I tried using my Windows 7 in VirtualBox, and my torrent client IP was changed, BUT, is my IP still hidden via VirtualBox? I want to say yes, because the torrent client reports that the IP is changed, but i'm not sure if the connection is coming from the router, or Ubuntu as a source.

How can I get my BitTorrent proxy to work, OR will this work in VirtualBox?
