My university now has a subscription to VirtuaLock, which doesn't have a Ubuntu/Linux client. I'd like to convince them to offer an alternative for Linux users.
I have seen Prey , but this is post-theft, i.e. finding-back-your-notebook type software, so probably doesn't compare to VirtuaLock, which is about prevention.
