I am running 10.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1750. While working in Places --> Pictures suddenly I lost all my saved pictures.

Surprisingly I can't see them in Trash too. When I open F-spot photo manager all the lost images are still there but when I click on them they don't open. Instead a picture with a cross sign on it appears. I can't even export those pictures to any other folder.

How do I get my pictures back?

What exactly did you do while "working" in your Pictures directory? –  Takkat Oct 27 '12 at 8:06

Have you checked to see if your files show up in nautilus? –  Another Googler Oct 30 '12 at 22:07
