Been banging my head on the desk for a few hours with this one.

Upgraded mythbuntu to 12.04 this weekend. Though the HDMI sound running mythtv works fine, I noticed last night that HDMI sound when running apps like firefox (and sits like youtube) has stopped working.

This is my asound.conf:

I get the pink noise if I run:

speaker-test -Dhw:1,9 -c2

But then I fire up a browser and there's no sound.

I expect it's an error in the asound.conf. Running the xfce desktop (since it's mostly a pvr) and can't find a gui way to configure the asound.conf
