I'm really confusing!! I downloaded Ubuntu 12.10 and then when I was installing, I set boot partition to sda1 (Dell Utility, not MBR), after installation, ubuntu just recognized a Windows 8 on sda2 (dell recovery partition) and another windows 8 on sda1(Dell Utillity)!! and had't detect Windows 7 and 8 at all! when I added Windows 7 to grub manualy, I saw "BOOTMGR is missing" error! There are strange things in your system. Did you install Windows7 (and Windows8) by yourself? did you change something (eg UEFI/BIOS mode) in your BIOS after you installed Windows? –  LovinBuntu Oct 26 '12 at 21:46
My laptop had Windows 7 OEM but I installed Windows 8 by my self. No I didn't change them. Oh and when I installed Window8 another time, I got BOOTMGR error again! –  user79906 Oct 27 '12 at 13:27
