Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have updated my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to 12.10. There seems to be only one problem. Click on the panel icons (upper right part of the screen) throws a dropdown menu, but the texts on that are hardly visible because the texts are getting highlighted. Same happens with some right click menus. How to solve? PLease help!

EDIT ON THIS POST BY DIFFERENT USER:

I am having the same issues. I am posting a screen shot on here as the person who "answered" requested.

Your question contains sparse information. As this is a graphical problem, I would recommend that you add a screenshot and some detail about your graphics card (if applicable). – InkBlend Oct 24 '12 at 19:59
This should be reported as a bug. In the bug report it would help to know if the problem happens when you switch to Unity 2D ("Ubuntu 2D" in the drop-down menu on the login screen). If it does not, then the bug can be reported against the package compiz. Otherwise I'm not sure what the best package is but if you report it against the wrong package it will probably be corrected swiftly. See this question for more info on bug reports. Please note Ask Ubuntu cannot handle bug reports so this may be closed. – Eliah Kagan Nov 7 '12 at 18:01
