  • Computer: Thinkpad T520 with Intel HD 3000 graphics
  • Version: 12.10

Problem: I have seen after shutting down the laptop the next boot does not make it to the login screen or desktop. Instead I am presented with a black screen with an OK button on the top right of the screen and a mouse cursor. Resetting the laptop results in me being able to boot to the desktop.

Can anyone help>
