I'm trying to encrypt a FATFS using the disk tool. When I opened it in 12.10, I realized that it was impossible from the GUI. Is there anyway to do this from the CLI?

not sure, but try this: install package cryptsetup, reboot and check again – medigeek Oct 20 '12 at 1:29
