Applications run within a virtual desktop of a WINEPREFIX can change the resolution quite happily, I'm wondering if there is a way that I can force a wine virtual desktop to change it's resolution without closing all application in the WINEPREFIX.

My specific issue is that Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a virtual desktop of 1000x615 in order to use the launcher without issue, however once the game starts I can only select 4:3 resolutions and no amount of config file editing has allowed me to force the game client into a particular resolution.

No registry entries that I've edited have thus far worked without restarting the virtual desktop, and I have not been able to find any way to force a list of available resolutions in either wine or the game itself.
