I am using Ubuntu 12.04 for a while and I think it is good enough for my needs. What will I get by upgrading to 12.10?
I checked out the Ubuntu online tour.
It looks like exactly the same version I have. What are the benefits of upgrading?

Don't think you will have benefits. You loose LTS. You get more "instability" (since 12.10 is "new"). BTW these are the new features https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QuantalQuetzal/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuDesktop Just read. |

Ubuntu 12.04 is a LTS release and it will be supported till April 2017. If you feel that it fulfills your need then continue using it. At any point of time if you feel that you are missing out the features provided in here then try out 12.10 You can also try out 12.10 release in a virtual environment before upgrading from 12.04. 12.10 Features
