Upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 today on Toshiba Satellite L505D, AMD64 processor, now I have no boot activity when I power on, everything seemed like a clean upgrade, until restart, then nothing, it just powers on and sits there, I tried pulling battery, mem, and hdd out to try and make sure everything was dumping like it should at shutdown, but it just acts like its hung when I turn it on, no post/bios screen, also won't try to boot from USB or live CD, any ideas on what to do?

I still have yet to find a solution, I have disassembled and reassembled, drained cmos, reseated anything that could be unplugged and no change. I am leaving the issue alone until the end of the semester unless someone has a reasonable approach to try. – Tristen Nov 5 '12 at 4:49
