Try running sudo update-grub from a terminal window. If all goes well, it should find the 10.04 installation and add it to the boot menu. In case you don't see the boot menu, hit the Shift key right after the BIOS screen. –  mikewhatever Oct 18 '12 at 22:08

I did that and it showed up. How do I add this to the boot menu? –  Matthew Oct 18 '12 at 22:44

It does also show up in the computer folder, if that is helpful –  Matthew Oct 18 '12 at 22:47

If 10.04 showed up when the command was runing, it must have been added to the menu. Check with cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg | grep menuentry if it's there. –  mikewhatever Oct 18 '12 at 23:07

are you talking about the terminal after booting? –  Matthew Oct 18 '12 at 23:21
