I know of validator.w3.org but are there other website on-line or an application that can validate my html/css/xml?

Are there tools that can validate my code online and offline?

I am using Ubuntu 12.04.

This has hardly anything to do with Ubuntu. –  January Oct 17 '12 at 19:32

I'd call this 'Not Constructive' or NARQ, because this will end up like a wiki page or something... –  Thomas W. Oct 17 '12 at 19:52
There is tidy, and if you use Bluefish, you can have this done within the editor (almost automatically). –  RolandiXor Oct 17 '12 at 19:54
